Which english does Bubsy speak ?

That’s indeed a question.

One of the problems of a webmaster creating an international website in english is to decide which version of english his target visitors speak.
In case of a local site, this is quite easy. Somebody in the Wales will speak plain british english (actually he can also speak welsh), when somebody in Canberra will speak australian english.

Ranking differently on different SEO results is also a question of language

Of course, Google is quite good at finding synonyms and related words, nevertheless, british english and american english is different. Some words will be written differently, like aeroplane in british-english or airplane in american english.

And you can observe that the query on Busby airplane and the query on Busby aeroplane dont’ bring the same results.

In this specific case, the query brings better results on the english word, because, methink, the event was english, and more english people spoke and wrote about it.

What can do a SEO expert facing the challenge of international websites ?

He has to assume what is the best english for him, depending on his target. He also has to try to imagine how people who don’t really speak good english would word their questions, when trying to get the information he offers.

Then, he should find a way to rank high on all the versions. Luckily for us, Busby is a word which cannot be written another way, and we don’t need to make this difficult exercise.

Yes it is :) it is no magic, it is “scheduled publishing”, you just write the post in advance, and set a time for it to appear.
